The movie below explains the principles of insurance that relate to applications for insurance - insurable interest and utmost good faith.  Pay careful attention so that you can answer the quiz questions at the end of the movie!

Insurance fraud
If you lie on the insurance proposal form (e.g. by pretending you don't smoke when you do, or by pretending you're aged 25 when really you're only 15), then you're committing insurance fraud.  Insurance fraud is a crime and offenders face a fine of up to €100,000 and/or up to 10 years in prison....so, when you're completing a proposal form, remember the principle of utmost good faith  and tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!!
